Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis

You may not have heard of hyperhidrosis, but odds are if you suffer from this embarrassing issue, then you are already familiar with this term. As a sufferer of hyperhidrosis I know what its like to have a serious issue with excessive sweating.

What is Hyperhidrosis?

Sweatshield Undershirts are designed to help those who seek to stop excessive sweating. Many people who find that they have this issue actually have a condition called hyperhidrosis.

This is a condition where people have abnormally high levels of perspiration. For those with hyperhidrosis, the situation is uncontrollable.

They cannot control their ability to stop sweating. As a result, this can be a very aggravating as well as embarrassing condition.

Statistics show that approximately 2.8% of the population suffers from this problem, which can often lead to symptoms of depression and anxiety.

A study by the International Hyperhidrosis Society noted the following impact on the lives of hyperhidrosis sufferers:

• Less confident
• Unhappy/depressed
• Change type of leisure activities
• Frustrated with daily activities
• Miss outings/events
• Decrease time in leisure activities

Simply stated, hyperhidrosis is a big problem that affects a lot of people's lives on a day-to-day basis.

Living with Hyperhidrosis

My armpits at times drip like a leaking faucet regardless of physical exertion or external heat.

In Beijing this winter, the temperature reached minus 19 degrees Celsius, and I still had sweat marks under my arms! In warm weather the sweating extends to my chest, stomach and back areas.

I find an undershirt is critical to maintain a look of composure.

Before I created Sweatshield Undershirts wearing a blue shirt was out of the question. Business presentations were embarrassing and made me feel very self conscious of the sweat marks under my arms.

Shirts lasted 6 months at best before they had to be replaced because of permanent sweat stains under the arms. Sweat marks would even break through onto my suit jacket.

Sitting in my chair with my arms behind my head? Absolutely no way! Reaching up to hold the overhead rail on the bus or train? Totally embarrassing!

Any of this sound familiar to you? These are all problems that I have said goodbye to by wearing Sweatshield Undershirts.

Sweat Shield Undershirts as a Solution for Hyperhidrosis

Sweatshield Undershirts provide an amazing and effective solution for those who seek to counter excessive sweating and hyperhidrosis.

Our sweat resistant undershirts alleviate the effects of excessive sweating and provide those who suffer from hyperhidrosis with a new lease on life!

Our sweat proof undershirts are capable of absorbing the heaviest perspiration in the back and chest area and will also offer new hope to those who suffer specifically from hyperhidrosis of the underarm area (axillary hyperhidrosis) and compensatory sweating after ETS surgery.

You can be assured of the effectiveness of Sweatshield Undershirts as was the highly experienced and critical undershirt tester that provided this feedback:

"94 degrees at 11 am with high humidity in Atlanta. The kind of morning you poke your head out the door and immediately have beads of sweat on your face.

Took a ride down to the hardware store and grocery shopping. I own a polo shirt in a silky microfiber that I can never wear because it instantly shows sweat marks.

I figured I would endure any embarrassment related to the Sweatshield Undershirt failing me in an attempt to get a good indication of its capabilities.

Getting in the car was the usual stifled heat blast from confined and baked air. I could feel my back soaking and I hadn't even pulled out of the driveway yet.

Drove a mile to the gas station and pulled in to fill-up. While pumping I used the mirrors to check out the river going down my back and couldn't see anything.

Hmm, this shirt didn't have a back pad so I would have thought to see something but it appeared dry despite how wet my skin felt.

Spent the rest of the afternoon going to the hardware store and grocery shopping, including hauling bags from the car in the heat and working up a decent sweat.

Frequently checked the shirt for back-sweat, underarm sweat and chest sweat but at no point did I see any dark spots on my polo shirt despite feeling wet on my body.

At one point I went to the restroom to pull up my shirt to examine and saw the chest area of the undershirt had obvious wet marks.

I touched the undershirt and came away with slight moisture on my fingers so I pressed my outer shirt against the wet spot trying to instigate it leaking through but with no effect.

My polo was still dry! I ran my hand up under my shirt to feel my underarms which of course were wet as well, but then felt the outside of the undershirt which was completely dry where the underarm reinforcements were."

Sweatshield Undershirts as a Solution for Extreme Hyperhidrosis

If you suffer from extreme Hyperhidrosis like me then you know that it is difficult to find a single item clothing solution that will stop sweatmarks for an entire day.

Sweatshield Undershirts work perfectly for hyperhidrosis, heavy sweating and excessive sweating but extreme hyperhidrosis requires a different approach.

If you suffer from extreme hyperhidrosis as I do then wearing two Sweatshield Undershirts together will keep you completely dry for the entire day no matter how heavily you sweat (and I am convinced that no one sweats more heavily in the underarm than myself!).

The combination of two layers in the body and four layers of underarm protection with an air barrier in between is what guarantees that no sweat marks will break through no matter how heavily you sweat, and I mean no matter how heavily!

The fabric is designed in such a way that wearing two undershirts together will not make you hot and we guarantee you will still be a whole lot cooler than wearing a single standard cotton undershirt (we guarantee this, if not then return your undershirts for a 150% refund with no questions asked).
